Algoma University

Algoma University is an undergraduate-only public university located in the picturesque city of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, with a population of 76,000. Over our scenic International Bridge, Sault Ste. Marie boasts a convenient location for travel into the USA bordering the State of Michigan. Established in 1965, Algoma U is a teaching-focused and student-centred post-secondary institution, specializing in liberal arts, sciences, and professional degree programs. Located on the former site of the Shingwauk Indian Residential School, Algoma U has a special mission to provide and cultivate cross-cultural learning between Aboriginal populations and other communities. Algoma U also offers the School of Business and Economics programs at our Brampton campus and Social Work and Community Development Program at our Timmins campus.
