Chart your future with this two-week summer program for high school students
Are you wondering what skills you will need for success in university? Could you use some helpful advice for your post-secondary pathway? Are you looking to enhance your language and communication skills?
This two-week summer program will help you answer some of the questions you face today, while giving you a valuable introduction to university life. CultureWorks is proud to partner with the University of Toronto Mississauga to offer this exciting pre-university program specifically for high school students, both domestic and international.
Earn a certificate from the University of Toronto
In the program, participants will enjoy a series of learning experiences delivered and facilitated by University of Toronto professors and instructors from a range of departments. When you successfully complete the two-week program, you will receive a certificate from the University of Toronto.
Enjoy fun and engaging classes
In this highly interactive summer program, you’ll meet peers from around the world to make new connections. Student mentors attend the classes and lead fun and engaging learning activities. Participants in the program will be assigned an undergraduate student mentor for individual coaching.
The program includes pre-university coaching plus language and communication training. Leadership training, career planning, coaching, and academic study skills will be delivered by the university’s expert instructional team. Small class sizes will ensure you receive personalized attention.
The Virtual Classroom
Live (synchronous) online classes are held Monday through Friday, with classes scheduled to work with the participant’s individual time zone. Instruction is highly interactive. You will have the opportunity to use your communication skills and participate in simulations, case studies, and community activism.
International students, or those looking for language development, will participate in English language and culture classes facilitated in partnership with CultureWorks. Grouped by English language proficiency, students will also experience leadership training that includes academic planning, career mapping, and one-on-one peer coaching.
