EAP Teacher

Reporting to the Principal, you will be responsible to:

• Plan and teach English for Academic Purposes to a culturally diverse student population in intermediate through high-advanced levels of study based on CultureWorks curriculum
• Deliver online components of the curriculum which complement classroom hours
• Ensure course delivery and accurate grading in our LMS
• Track attendance
• Generate accurate feedback and student reports
• Hold meetings with students and discuss progress / provide feedback
• Deal with student complaints equitably
• Participate in a team approach to delivering the curriculum by course and level of study
• Collaborate with fellow team members in creating lesson plans and assignments
• Cultivate positive relationships with staff, students, homestay families, and the campus communities

Required Qualifications:

• TESL Canada or TESL Ontario certification (or eligible for certification)
• 2 years EAP/ESL teaching experience
• Cross-cultural experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
• Competency using Microsoft Office and Excel

• Overseas teaching experience
• Online teaching experience
